Intro
Maybe there's a project to be done, you have a general curiousity
to be satisfied, or just want to learn about the History of Information Technology. Could you look up the
information in an encyclopedia, of course. Books, magazines, or interviews would all be useful tools. What about a dynamic information repository, which encapsulates all of the features found in the aforementioned mediums and goes three steps forward?
That is what our website has done.
The generalized field of Information Technology is not that
old. However, the agile development pace has left conventional historians in the dust. We have conducted interviews with founders, developers,
and people who have just used the technology from the past
40 years. The four catagories of this website; Hardware, Operating
Systems, Computer Mediated Communication, and the Internet, are each built off of the data from these interviews as well as research that has been buried for years. The
information is as reliable as it could be: straight from the
sources mouth.

Education
While this site can be used for research and learning on an individual basis, we also incluse additional tools for educators who are interested in using content from this site for their classrooms. These tools are based off of the information integrated into the site framework, and are part of the overall learning experience. We recommend their use in your Information Technology learning experience. These tools are listed below:

Why is this site necessary?
History has a way of being re-written when no one is looking. This is horribly wrong, there should always be an accurate record of the past somewhere within the world. This website is that record, for we believe firmly that the past does not change. It only takes one group of people to bring out the truth, that is hopefully what we have done here. The basic priciple behind this site is to present the knowledge in a way that is dynamic, informative, and understandable at the same time. So, our site is a way point between a technical research report and regular conversation: a data hybrid that is simple to comprehend.
